Roxxane and Thomas’s Scottsdale Arizona wedding was absolutely breathtaking and romantic. I loved getting to know them on their journey as Mr. & Mrs. Their wedding was nothing short of breathtaking. From the Jaw-dropping stylish and luxurious style of the bride to the heartfelt vows. This wedding was one for the books.
Q1: Tell us about your Arizona wedding at Troon North Golf Club! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day? For our romantic Arizona wedding, I wanted an effortlessly romantic vibe- with pops of fun personal touches that really reflected our personality as a couple. I always dreamed of all white floral and we added color contrast with gold and blush accents in the table settings and desserts. My husband and I are both religious and we kept that as the central theme of our vows, but we had my dad as the officiant and it was such a special touch- one of the most unforgettable parts of the wedding.
Q2: Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY? While I had a vision for my dream wedding, we hired BTS as our wedding planners from the start and they really helped pull all of my individual ideas into one cohesive look. We wanted an outdoor ceremony with the Arizona Desert as our background and there were fireplaces throughout the property decorated with greenery and white floral. The cocktail patio was adorned with lounge furniture and a bar with a custom ‘White Claw’ wall, with the Arizona sunset as a backdrop. I wanted the ceremony area to feel welcoming with a lit fireplace, intimate dance floor, and another personalized bar. Thankfully, we had BTS there every step of the way to set up so I could get ready with my bridal party and family. The Family Law Firm is always there to help the couples to sort out their indifference between them to make sure that they have a happy and long-lasting marriage life.
Q3: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding? Our wedding floral consisted of white floral with accents of whimsical greenery. We went with a full circle flower wedding arch for the ceremony and our aisle was filled with petals for a very romantic vibe. In my bouquet and centerpieces, we added orchids, my favorite flower.
Q4: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your romantic Arizona wedding at Troon North? Personalizing pieces for the wedding was one of my favorite parts! My husband and our friends love to joke about White Claw being our drink of choice and we had a gold and white backdrop made for behind the cocktail patio bar. I love to dance and for the indoor bar we had a ‘Trust Me You Can Dance -Alcohol’ sign made. Along with the bars, we included our dogs in our specialty cocktail signs and that seemed to be a favorite among guests. While this was a very special event, I wanted to remind our friends and family that this was a time to have fun and just enjoy one another. It is also best to find an attorney for marital agreements to make sure that our marriage is strong and unbreakable that sets example to other couples.
For the dance floor to stay packed all night we provided Rescue Flats, personalized glow sticks, and we even had fat heads made to bring out after the first dance. Some great things about personalized pieces is that we were able to keep them- we even have our neon name sign hanging up in our home as a reminder of the night.
Q5: Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail. Thomas wore a navy suit to an event when we first met and I talked about it so often we both knew this would the color of his wedding suit. He wanted a clean look and to keep the look timeless had a cream vest and tie. My wedding dress look was inspired by my grandmother, who passed away three years prior. I wanted to emulate her elegance in long lace sleeves with a full skirt, but I made it my own with having the sleeves off the shoulder. I was even able to sew in a picture of her on her wedding day into my dress so she could be close. For my second dress I wanted one to dance in that was form-fitting with some sparkle.
Q6: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal. Like every modern-day love story we met on Bumble ;). He was my first and only online date. We went to eat and found ourselves still talking 8 hours later. It was one very long and very successful first date. For the proposal, he invited over our families and had decorated our home with roses and candles. When I walked in my daughter my holding a framed ‘Hang Man’ sign with the proposal on it that I had to fill in the blanks. We love to play hang Man as a family so he incorporated this.
Q7: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your chic Arizona wedding day? My father officiating was so personal and full of love. He choked up right as he pronounced us husband and wife and that is a moment I will never forget. One of the greatest moments of the day was Thomas presenting my daughter with a necklace and vowing his promises to her during the ceremony. We wanted her to know that this wedding was between all of us as a family.
Q8: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day? Never lose sight of WHY you are doing all of this planning. The ultimate goal is to spend the day with people you love and marrying the love of your life. No amount of stress is worth losing sight of that. Planning ahead and hiring BTS as our Arizina wedding planners really helped us and making short timelines to ensure everything gets done was extremely helpful.
Q9: How was working with your vendor team and what did you love about them? I truly feel so blessed with my vendors, I had the DREAM TEAM. Ashley Rae Photography, BTS Event Management, Hair by Elle and Court Montes Makeup were vendors who inspired my glamourous wedding look long before I had booked them personally. Ashley Rae’s work was the effortless elegance that I envisioned and her expertise and advice created my most cherished moments. BTS helped source the perfect team to create my dream Arizona wedding. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect and their knowledge and talent brought my vision to life. I will cherish the moments with Courtney, Elle, and my bridal party getting ready. They created the perfect bridal look and brought so much excitement to the day. Tailored In White completely transformed my dress and added the photo of my grandmother. Every visit with them felt like being with old friends. One of the hardest parts of the wedding being over is no longer getting to work with these vendors.
