Q: What makes your work different from other photographers’ work?
A: In a world where anyone can pick up a camera, ashley rae is grateful to have had the opportunity to be properly educated and educate's photographers all over the world in the creative and technical aspects of fine art photography - this includes making sure that all of her images are consistent in editing and shooting style - even when she is not the photographer at your wedding. jenn and your second shooter shoot in both traditional film format and the latest professional grade digital cameras & lenses. Since early 2017, I have been working on passing all of this knowledge to jenn. We both absolutely adore the timeless feel of film, but love the speed and reliability of digital and have the greatest passion for documenting life’s greatest moments. Our work is consistently featured in top weddings blogs such as Style Me Pretty, The Know, Green Wedding Shoes, Brides, and more!
Q: How long until we receive our photos after our wedding?
A: Please allow up to 8-10 weeks for a full wedding gallery and up to 4 weeks for a full engagement session gallery. Film has to be dropped off to the lab, developed, and scanned back to me which takes a lot of time. Once I receive the film scans I then start the process to matching the digital photographs with the film photographs which will give you a cohesive, beautiful, final gallery.
Q: How many photographers will be there at our wedding?
A: For all day associate collections, there will always be two photographers at your wedding in order to get multiple perspectives and extra shots of all of the details. jenn and one of our second photographers are great at capturing falling tears, sweet embraces, and more loving moments throughout your wedding.
Q: Will we get featured in a magazine or blog?
A: Although many of our shoots and weddings do get featured, this is not something that is guaranteed. Most publishers are interested in lovely, uniquely designed weddings!
Q: How many photos will we receive in our final gallery?
A: This really varies depending on guest count, details, and hours booked. I do guarantee a minimum of 75 final, edited images per hour booked.
Q: Do I have to order prints through you?
A: I highly recommend ordering prints through my professional lab, but it is not required. The difference in quality is HUGE when it comes to ordering through a local printer and a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints! Each collection comes with a print release.
Q: What equipment do you use?
A: We use all of the latest Nikon or Canon equipment, medium format film cameras, and 35 mm film cameras. All of our pieces have a backup in the rare event that anything should occur to one of our cameras or lenses.
